Outgoing GOP House Speaker John Boehner attacked his fellow Republicans policymakers and conservative groups as “false prophets” who “whip people into a frenzy” to demand legislative demands that “are never going to happen”.
Boehner also said during his interview earlier today that “there won’t be a government shutdown” but acknowledged he would need support from members from the across the left political party.
The outgoing House Speaker suggested there people in the Republican party spreading false information and giving false hope by spreading “noise about what can get done.”
John Boehner pointed to the Pope’s visit as a moment of clarity and discussed his legislative plans in the last few days before he leaves office.
